Old Man Richman is the wealthiest rancher in all of Dry Gulch. But he's also the stingiest man in ten counties. This poses a real problem for his two grown children, Clint and Elsie, each of whom wants to get married--only neither fiance has money or position. How will they persuade their father to let them follow their hearts? The situation is further complicated when the old man announces his intention to marry Clint's sweetheart himself--provided she can come up with some kind of dowry. Based on Moliere's classic farce, the play races hectically through complications and reversals until all is finally resolved through a series of hysterically unlikely coincidences.
