OPERATION TAKE BACK DAD
By Matt Buchanan
3 female, 2 male, two either. Multiple settings. About 35 minutes.
Forrest Gardner has a very important job. They really rely on him at the office. As a result, he works all the time. He works long hours at the office and then he brings his work home with him and keeps working at him. He seems to have no time for his children at all--indeed, he doesn't even seem to notice them. After a series of attempts to get his attention--escalating in scale and absurdity but all equally ineffective--his five children decide it's time to take action. It's time, indeed, to Take Back Dad. So they kidnap him outside his office, sabotage his relationship with the boss, and hold him hostage until he learns to take things a little easier and becomes a real Dad.
A funny, sometimes absurdist caper for the whole family.
