Synopsis

Christmas Eve, 1971.  In a sleepy Pennsylvania coal mining town, the Vietnam War continues to cast its pall as 17-year-old Janey and 19-year-old Mick finish up their shift in the local diner while midnight draws close. As they search for a quiet place to share the advent of Christmas Day, the two young lovers are forced to confront news that threatens to change their lives forever. They struggle to find common spiritual ground and to learn what it means to have faith - faith in a higher power and faith in the power of their love.
