Elisabeth Giffin Speckman

Elisabeth Giffin Speckman (she/her) received her MFA in Fiction from Butler University. In addition to YouthPLAYS, her work appears in Midwestern Gothic, CHEAP POP, Flash Fiction Magazine, Best Men's Monologues 2021 (Smith & Kraus) and Stage It! 2: Thirty 10-Minute Plays. Her play Cindy/Ella is available through Next Stage Press. Her plays have been produced throughout the United States as well as internationally. She has developed work with the Kennedy Center Playwriting Intensive, 29th Street Playwrights Collective, The Bechdel Group, The Skeleton Rep(resents), The Barrow Group and more. She is a two-time Henley Rose Award finalist and an O'Neill finalist. She is the founding artistic director of Ensemble Children's Theatre in Indianapolis, Indiana, and has taught and directed youth theatre for over a decade.
