Lojo Simon

A writer in a variety of genres, Lojo Simon wrote the book and lyrics for Creede Repertory Theatre's Young Audience Outreach Tour, which each year reaches more than 35,000 students in eight states. CRT musicals include Best Foot Forward, Seeds of Change and Albert Porter: Boy Explorer. YouthPLAYS titles include Nice & Slow (Old Miner's Children's Playwriting Contest winner), Press, Gorilla Ballerina, Plum Luck, Hero Zero and Heartland (ATHE/KCACTF David Mark Cohen Playwriting Prize runner-up, Dayton Playhouse Futurefest winner, with Anita Simons). Her plays also appear in YouthPLAYS anthologies. A Laguna Beach Literary Laureate Emeritus, Lojo works in her community as a teaching artist and dramaturg.
