Melissa Leilani Larson

Melissa Leilani Larson (she/her) is a mixed-race Filipino American writer based in Salt Lake City. Plays include: A Form of Flattery, Gin Mummy, Mestiza or Mixed, The Post Office (winner of the AATE Distinguished Play Award and published by YouthPLAYS), Sweetheart Come, Little Happy Secrets, Pilot Program, Lady in Waiting, Martyrs' Crossing, adaptations of Pride and Prejudice and Persuasion and the books for the musicals Relative Space and The Weaver of Raveloe. Mel is a Bay Area Playwrights Festival Finalist (also honorable mention), a Portland Center Stage JAW finalist and an O'Neill semi-finalist. Mel is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild, Honor Roll! and the Plan-B Theatre Playwrights Lab. MFA, Iowa Playwrights Workshop.
