Spencer Robelen is a New York-based composer, lyricist and playwright who thrives at the intersection of the heartfelt and the absurd. He received his Bachelor of Music in Theory and Composition from the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, and he later received his Master of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre Writing from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Spencer’s work has been heard in notable venues across the country, including Birdland Jazz Club, 54 Below, Catalina Jazz Club, the Duplex Cabaret, the Green Room 42 and off-Broadway at Signature Theatre. His coming-of-age comedy The Wheels Go Round and Round has been performed in Canada, England and South Africa in addition to the U.S.
