Synopsis

Caleb Squint makes Ebenezer Scrooge look like the picture of kindness as he turns away all who seek a bite to eat, a piece of coal, a friendly face. Driven only by greed, Squint searches far and wide for a widow who owns as much as he. Fortune seems to smile, gifting him with a wealthy wife in Augusta—who suddenly perishes. But his lust for riches goes too far when he steals the radiant diamond ring from her cold, dead hand, and he hears the bloodcurdling sound of revenge: tap, tap, tap...
