It is obvious that hatchling Cliff is different from his family of prairie chickens. A vulture, pretending to be a midwife, talent scout and a casting agent, tries unsuccessfully to take the misfit away. This only strengthens the parents' resolve to keep the family together and teach all the hatchlings the ways of the prairie chicken. Still, Cliff doesn't fit in. Can running away and going on a vision quest help him discover himself and his purpose in life? Loosely based on a Native American story about an eagle who learns to live among prairie chickens and eat lots of fish.
