Synopsis

With billionaires taking off into space to colonize Mars, Will and June, impoverished teenagers from a drought-stricken town, watch the rocket launch. As they wait for liftoff, June discovers that her lifelong friend is obsessed with the impossible hope of leaving Earth behind forever. But does that mean he’d be willing to leave her along with it?

"Felicity is a simple play that is full of emotions, one that looks at climate change, hidden love, and loss. I love that the play calls to the future, warning of where we could potentially end up. The play's strengths lie in its quietness, stillness, and the simple, delicate beauty of longing in the piece." - travis l. tate, Playwright (Brooklyn, NY)
