Greek Gods Under Quarantine was first produced by Sacred Heart Middle School (Atherton, CA) on October 23-24, 2020.
When a global pandemic hits, it forces even the ancient Greek gods to quarantine at home. Just as the most powerful beings in the universe begin to get comfortably uncomfortable with an infinity of binge-watching, bread-making and jigsaw-puzzling, a mysterious thief steals a powerful magical item, and the gods must leap into video-conference action to learn who stole what and why—with the fate of humanity in the balance. As the story jumps from god to god in this Olympian game of telephone, each will play a role in unraveling this mystery...but can they do it in time?
"Greek Gods Under Quarantine is the perfect marriage of a topic that ties directly into the student curriculum and a challenging and humorous character piece that appeals to both actors and audience. Who wouldn't enjoy a giant game of telephone Whodunnit with a cast of zany mythological Gods?" - Rachel Prouty, Sacred Heart Middle School (Atherton, CA)
