The second collection of winning one-acts from the New Voices competition takes us on historical journeys to the Dutch War of Independence and the days following 9/11, through insightful explorations of familiar rites of passage like prom and college essay writing, into fantastical worlds filled with fluorescent aisles and storytelling—and much more. Diverse in their subjects and approaches, what unites these accomplished young playwrights is their ability to speak directly to the issues that impact our lives in the here and now.
