Synopsis

Rose James would do anything for her little brother, and all he wants is to visit Fairyland Park on his actual birthday. But it's the 1960s, and the racially segregated amusement park only opens its gates to Black patrons on one day each year. Decades later, Ella, an aspiring filmmaker and Rose's granddaughter, can't help but notice the way her neurodivergent classmates are bullied. Two generations apart, two young women must use their smarts, determination and some literal "Black Girl Magic" to stand toe-to-toe against injustice.
