Synopsis

Sisters Red Onion and White Garlic are born twenty years apart but now live together. And on the occasion of their respective fortieth and twentieth birthdays, our story begins—a story of conflict and compromise, greed and selflessness, and adventure and magic—spun by a queen among birds. This beautiful fable weaves together tales of Indonesia, accompanied by shadow puppetry, and brought vibrantly to life by an expandable all-female cast.
