William Shakespeare has seen the future, and it isn't pretty. It's full of sound and fury, and the last thing it needs is a play about two beautiful young people killing themselves. So he sets about rewriting his beloved tragedy. After a series of false starts that include—among others—a high school guidance counselor, a Dickensian urchin and a bereaved puppy, with the help of his wife, Anne, he finally finds the perfect ending for his play.
