Synopsis

Adapted from an anonymous Samurai legend, The Tea Servant is the tale of a serving girl whose impetuous princess is determined to travel alone to her lover. The servant dresses as a samurai to discourage robbers, but she is no fighter. When confronted on the road by a highwayman, the servant asks for time to deliver her mistress safe to the village and promises to return to duel. And when she does, her courage in facing death gains her far more than she could have imagined.
