The animals of the bamboo forest believe Rabbit is the wisest of them all. She's always quiet, so she must be thinking, they reason, and thinking does make one wise. Jealous Frog decides to test Rabbit's wisdom, but his trick sets off a chain of slapstick accidents and awakens an angry Tiger from her nap. Monkey, Snake and Rooster all pass the blame onto someone else, leaving Rabbit as Tiger's final suspect. Too frightened to speak, Rabbit begins to tremble and twitch all over. Her twitching nose makes Tiger laugh! All is forgiven, and all are indeed wiser for the experience in this classic "pourquoi" tale from Burma.
